Zeiss has become New Zealand’s new distributor of Dutch Ophthalmic Research Center (DORC) products, formerly supplied by OIC.

DORC, a supplier of equipment, instruments and liquids for ophthalmic surgery, has a portfolio including the EVA Nexus platform. Zeiss valued the 2024 acquisition of DORC as being worth approximately €985m (NZ$1.97b) and said the move extends and complements its ophthalmic portfolio and digitally connected workflow solutions across retinal disorders, cataracts, glaucoma and refractive errors, strengthening its position in the vitreoretinal surgery segment.

From 1 October, all Zeiss orders and service queries should be directed to Zeiss New Zealand via orders.nz@zeiss.com.
