Emphasising optometry’s far-reaching impact and vital role, the World Council of Optometry (WCO) has revealed this year’s theme for World Optometry Week 2025: ‘Eyes to the Future: Optometry Improving Global Wellness’.  

“Join us in celebrating World Optometry Week 2025 and be part of a movement that is shaping the future of eyecare around the world,” said a WCO statement, inviting optometrists worldwide to use its multilingual World Optometry Week Social Media Resources to support advocacy efforts for World Optometry Week and World Optometry Day.  

Additional assets will be added in the coming weeks, with World Optometry Week 2025 celebrations beginning on 17 March and concluding with World Optometry Day on 23 March.
