Set to launch is Re:Vision Academy, a new professional community founded on real-world practice and co-management principles to further enhance and support the daily practice of optometrists.

Re:Vision Academy is about partnership, said Re:Vision founder Dr Trevor Gray. “Our aim is to create more opportunities to connect, learn and problem-solve together – without adding unnecessary complexity or time pressure. [It’s about] supporting each other and continuing to raise the standard of care for our shared patients.”

The academy will feature a boosted CPD offering (including online), a Shared-Care Hotline with Re:Vision doctors, sit-in days in clinic or theatre, plus tools and advice to enhance practice development and the patient experience.

The Shared-Care Hotline will provide optometrists with 24/7 access to the surgeon involved in their patient’s care when timely clinical input is helpful, said Dr Gray. “The hotline is intended specifically for existing Re:Vision patients and shared-care scenarios rather than for new referrals or acute emergencies. Importantly, it is not designed to create an expectation of constant, informal messaging, but rather to offer a clear, reliable pathway for optometrists to connect with the treating surgeon when it genuinely adds value to patient care,” he added.

“Many of our referral relationships go back years, some decades, and they’ve shaped not just how we practise, but who we are,” Dr Gray said. “Re:Vision Academy is our way of saying thank you and of making shared care simpler, more connected and more enjoyable for optometrists.”
