The 2024 Medical Training Survey (MTS), designed to shape the future of medical training in Australia, is now open.
For five years, the MTS has captured the insights of over half of Australia’s doctors in training, including RANZCO trainees, leading to real changes in the system, said the Medical Board of Australia (MBA) and Ahpra (the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). This year’s survey includes a vital new question on sexual harassment, addressing urgent calls for more detailed data to combat inappropriate behaviour in medical workplaces, they said.
MBA acting chair Dr Susan O’Dwyer urged doctors to participate in this confidential survey. Their feedback will spotlight issues and drive the improvements needed to create the best training environments, she said, adding that all results will be made public to ensure transparency and real-world impact.
