Cornea and anterior segment specialist Dr Bia Kim has joined the team at Auckland Eye.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr Kim,” said Gordon Armstrong, Auckland Eye CEO. “Dr Kim brings a wealth of international experience and a passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centred care to our clinics in Remuera, Ormiston and Takapuna.”
Joining the practice felt like a natural next step, having worked alongside many of the Auckland Eye doctors in a public hospital setting, Dr Kim said. “It’s a practice I trust deeply, even entrusting them with my own daughter’s eyecare, so I’m delighted to officially join this dedicated and highly skilled team.”
Having completed her subspecialty training in Auckland under the mentorship of Professor Charles McGhee, Dr Kim gained further experience at recognised eye centres in Seoul, Cologne, London and Kanazawa, in Japan. Along the way, Dr Kim has been awarded several scholarships supporting her commitment to excellence.
“Ultimately, I believe patients value being listened to,” she said. “My goal is always to offer clear, pragmatic guidance and empower patients with a better understanding of their eye health. Trust in treatment starts with knowledge.”
