McCann Optical is now operating directly in New Zealand, bringing new competition to the local optical accessories market.

Represented in New Zealand by well-known optical accessories stalwart, Jacquie Ellis, the company is a self-described “one-stop shop” with more than 3,000 different items, including B&S products, personalised cloths, cases and solution bottles. “The jewel in our crown is our very own ‘Optical Essentials’ brand of parts, offering exceptional value for money,” said founder and director Greg McCann.

McCann had been approached a number of times by independent Kiwi optometrists looking to access the company’s products, so felt the time was right to enter the market last year, he said. “We are excited about the support we have already received and look forward to expanding our presence in New Zealand.”

Ellis said she’ll be adding that personal New Zealand touch to McCann’s Australia team and is looking forward to seeing her past customers again and making new ones.
