2 August – Retina Specialists Winter Seminar; Foundation on George, Parnell, Auckland

Join the Retina Specialists team for an evening of interactive retinal case presentations with dinner and discussion. “After a year full of disruption from Covid, I’m really looking forward to welcoming you to our Winter Education evening,” said Retina Specialists’ Dr Leo Sheck. “Our event in 2021 was very well received by the optometrists who attended. They particularly enjoyed the format of interactive voting with live discussion on difficult cases, while enjoying good food and wine.”

10-11 September – SCC2022; two-day virtual conference plus Auckland networking event 

Two days of live CPD content will be broadcast from a state-of-the-art, custom-built virtual platform. Research-leading ophthalmology speakers will cover myopia control, anterior eye therapeutics, ocular lesions, paediatrics, glaucoma, diabetes, age-related macular degeneration and more. This will be supplemented by a range of extra on-demand CPD content accessible to attendees in their own time, and an in-person networking event in Auckland on the evening of Saturday 10 September (details TBC).

25 September (new date) – Glaucoma NZ Professional Symposium; Ellerslie Event Centre, Remuera, Auckland

This year’s GNZ symposium, themed ‘Beyond Pressure’, will deliver an exciting one-day conference with rapid-fire presentations on a wide range of glaucoma topics, including diagnosis, technology advances and challenging cases. The keynote speaker is cataract and glaucoma specialist Dr Ridia Lim from the University of Sydney, whose talk is titled ‘Glaucoma and my journey down a metabolic rabbit hole’.
