Essilor’s new Henderson facility, now up and running

Essilor has consolidated all its New Zealand operations into one, purpose-built facility in Henderson, West Auckland.

“Creating one national centre and point of distribution will create efficiencies and improve our ability to better meet our customers’ needs,” said Kumuda Setty, Essilor NZ’s national sales and marketing manager.

The new facility also includes a purpose-built training centre, to provide a customised space for training up to 25 practice staff and students as well as a display room for new products, said general manager Sally Peake. “The new location places us just 20 minutes from Auckland Airport, offering significant logistical benefits which has already cut delivery times.”

The lens company is also planning to grow its customer service and production staff teams over the coming weeks to ensure even quicker response times, she added.
