We are looking for an Optometrist to join our Ophthalmology team at Wairau Hospital supporting a population of around 50,000. This is a permanent, part-time position working four hours a week.
Our Ophthalmology departments, at both Wairau and Nelson Hospitals, are contemporary services based on a team of Ophthalmologists who have general and subspecialist training, specialist nurses, orthoptists, optometrists and technicians. Our comprehensive suites including OCT, Fields, Photography, and Lasers and our operating theatres are equipped with modern microscopes and Alcon Centurion Phakoemulsification equipment. The service provides the highest standard of care for our patients.

You will have a Bachelor of Optometry (BOptom) degree, or recognised equivalent qualification, and will be registered with the New Zealand Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board.
