Virtual trade show? Grab an avatar and go

Optical platform My Vision Show (MVS) is entering virtual reality with The Optical Metaverse trade show on Friday 7 October.

New York-based optical innovator Charlene Nichols created MVS in 2019 to offer more accessible and inclusive livestreams for eyecare professionals (ECPs). Tasked with creating better real-life buying experiences for products including eyewear, Nichols assembled a team of graphic designers and 3D engineers to build a virtual world complete with interactive trade show booths and avatars ECPs can use to navigate the immersive experience.

The virtual convention centre features three atriums hosting events for the optical, art, fashion and music industries. Kirk & Kirk, David Green and Kazoku Lunettes are among those confirmed to exhibit at the inaugural show.

It’s free to attend for registered members and members of the official MVS Facebook community. For more, see myvisionshow.com
